Method: Ink brush pen and marker on paper (250 g), with underlying inkjet sketch

Studying female anatomy from imagination, I created this black-and-white ink drawing in October 2023.
Process (see pictures): I combined a series of pencil drawings and re-arranged them digitally into a new composition. I printed the sketchy outlines of the new composition on a piece of drawing paper and started refining the figures using gray ink brush pen. I added a layer of watery ink glacing, before emphasising the outlines once more, using gray ink. From then on, I gradually added shadows using gray marker before adding weight to the outlines using black ink brush pen.
The outcome is a uniquely melodic and tangible drawing from imagination and a cherished gem of my collection.
